BEYOND THE SEA 2026
MasterGroup World will also be among the key participants in “South and Futures – Beyond the Sea: Heritage for the Continuity of Tourism Offerings”, the third event promoted by the Fondazione Magna Grecia in collaboration with the Municipality of Scilla, scheduled for March 19–20, 2026.
The initiative was created with the aim of fostering an authoritative and practical discussion on sustainable tourism, placing at the center the need to build models capable of attracting visitors twelve months a year, while continuously enhancing the landscape, cultural, identity, and social heritage of Southern Italian territories.
The event represents the final stage of the three-year cycle of meetings organized by the Fondazione Magna Grecia within the specific PNRR project dedicated to the enhancement of Historic Villages. It will bring together representatives from institutions, academia, business, culture, media, and entertainment. Through five thematic sessions, the forum will open a discussion on sustainable development strategies and on the opportunities connected with the enhancement of Southern Italy’s territorial heritage.
Representing MasterGroup World will be President Lino Cangemi, who will take part as a speaker in the opening session dedicated to “Seasonality Adjustment: Opportunities and Challenges,” a topic that is now central to the future of tourist destinations and to building an offering capable of generating economic, cultural, and employment value throughout the entire year.
Our participation confirms the group’s commitment to supporting growth paths and strategic visions oriented toward territorial development, with particular attention to the great potential of Southern Italy and to the promotion of innovative, sustainable, and integrated tourism models.
Among the announced guests are also director Mimmo Calopresti, actor Alessandro Preziosi, publisher Florindo Rubbettino, and TG2 deputy director Fabrizio Frullani, together with representatives from the institutional sphere.
In a setting of extraordinary symbolic and cultural value such as Scilla, the event promoted by the Fondazione Magna Grecia aims to be an important opportunity for dialogue and in-depth discussion on the processes of territorial enhancement and the future prospects of tourism in Southern Italy.
